Bring on the kitty cats!
Pet care experience
I've been taking care of cats personally and professionally for many years. During this time, I've developed a fascination with cat behavior - their movements, prey drive, communication methods and more! As any passionate cat-parent knows, our little furballs rule the roost. They've got the reflexes, wit, and stubborn determination to get what they want when they want it, and I have to say, I admire them that much more for it. I will, on occasion, also take on small dogs. So, if you're looking for a sitter who can do both, please do reach out!
Reviews
Egon was great with my senior kitty! Super communicative, asked a lot of questions and followed instructions carefully. My cat was happy and comfortable and snuggly!
Egon watched me 2 pups while I was out of the country for 10 days. She was great and was patient with them as they were anxious with me and my son gone. She communicated well during her stay….I could not have asked for more
Egon has been incredible with our three anxious dogs. One of our dogs has physical limitations, and the other two are quite anxious and high strung. Each time we leave them with Egon, I know they’re well taken care of and in loving and attentive hands.
Egon is extremely conscientious and dedicated to the care and love of our animals. She pays great attention to detail and is so attentive to our pets needs. We are truly grateful to have found Egon and trust her with our babies above anyone else.

Safety, trust & environment
For cats (dog care is listed below): With cats, building trust is key. When I first arrive in the home, many cats are often scared to come out and meet me. During the first few visits, I try to go about my business as usual and narrate my actions out loud. This allows the cats to get acclimated with my voice, scent and presence. Once a cat develops the courage to emerge from their trusty hiding spot, I sit quietly and allow them to approach me. Part of this trust building process includes accepting that some cats will never want to come out and greet me or be touched, and that's okay! I will always respect your cat's boundaries. For dogs: At this time, I am only accepting small dogs who are housebroken. If dogs are leash-trained, they will receive at least one 30 minute walk a day and as many potty breaks as I can accommodate within my work schedule.
Information Egon P. would like to know about your pet
You will find that I am highly inquisitive about the needs and quirks of your animal companions, and this is for good reason! The more I know going in, the better care I can provide (and the less I have to text you with questions while you're on vacation!). I like to schedule a phone call prior to a meet & greet so we can touch base and go over some details. This allows both of us to determine whether I am the best sitter for your companions.
A typical day
On weekdays, food first! Followed by a potty break for dogs, litter scooping for cats. Then, I am off to work. When I return, another potty break for the pups, dinner for the house, and an evening full of playtime and snuggles for all who desire them!

Availability
I currently work in the public school system, so I follow the academic calendar of RPS. During the week, I can accommodate overnight sits or two drop-ins before bedtime. On the weekends I can accommodate overnight sits, or three drop-ins a day. I will also have significantly more free time over the holiday break in December.
