Hi, I’m Emily! I am super excited about this opportunity. I have worked closely with animals for many years. I grew up on a farm with livestock, and have always had pets. Since I was 15 I have been working at various veterinarian clinics and hospitals. I am even certified in dog and cat CPR! My love for animals runs deep. I am extremely flexible in my schedule, and am willing to accommodate with special requests. I can ensure you that your pet will be well loved and taken care of in your time away. I work from home most days, so I have ample time to play with and spoil your pups. My home has a good sized back yard, and a near by dog park. I am available for boarding most week nights and weekends. I am home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of company. My home has a fully fenced in yard with lots of room to run! I have experience working with pets of all ages and needs, so I am confident that I will be able to provide the attention and support your pet needs.

Emily and her partner took great care of Vega. They have a tidy house and a great backyard. I especially appreciated that they took Vega for a hike and sent photos! We did have a couple of communication snafus along the way. Emily didn’t initially respond to my request. Once she responded and confirmed the booking, we set up a meet and greet, but Emily did not respond when I messaged to confirm. Emily messaged about a week later that the app wasn’t working for her. We did our meet and greet two days before the booking began. The day before the booking began, Emily messaged about drop-off time. I had requested drop off between 3-4 p.m. to align with our departure; Emily said that it would be better for her if we could drop Vega off before she started work. This ended up being before 7 a.m., which wasn’t the most convenient, but we made it work. Pickup went as planned. Overall, everything worked out, but at this price point I would expect more proactive and professional communication. I think Emily is probably a dependable person, but the way she communicated before the booking didn’t necessarily reflect that and left me feeling nervous.
