Dogs Are a Girl's Best Friend
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Emily. My mission as a pet sitter is to make your life as a pet parent easier and your pet's life happier! No one likes to leave their best friend alone at home all day, but with me on the job you can have peace of mind knowing that your fur baby is being entertained and cared for. I'll be the next best thing, second only to you! I offer in-home dog daycare and overnight boarding for pets that may be stressed in a kennel environment. Does your pet have special needs or is on medication? No problem, I can make sure all their needs are met as I have experience with post-op care, injuries, and giving medication. I've been around animals all my life, volunteered at the SPCA for years, and have experience with dogs of all sizes. While I've been pet sitting for years now, I also have moderate experience with basic obedience dog training (loose-leash walking, basic commands etc), and am working on enhancing my skills through dog training courses. So if your pup needs some puppy school, I can help show him the ropes. Please contact me if you're looking for my services!
Reviews
Caramel is more nervous than usual lately, they are redoing our street and the noise of the machinery is scaring her. Hopefully it won't happen again. Thank you for taking care of our little girl!
Thank you for taking care of our little girl! She's already passed out in bed, seems she had a big day! It's always nice to see her socialize with other dogs!
With us both going back to work at the office at least twice a week, Caramel will visit Emily more often! Hopefully she will warm up and play with the other dogs eventually!
It's nice to be able to go out for a day and know that Caramel is safe! Thanks Again!

I have a fenced yard, though dogs aren’t left unsupervised. I have a calm adult female Bernese/Samoyed mix of my own, and dog-savvy cats who can help inexperienced dogs adapt and socialize with friendly new animals, however if your dog is known to be too high in prey drive around cats, we won’t be a good fit!

Let me know any special needs or scheduling requirements your dog might have ahead of time. je: Diet or allergies, medication, or behaviours and habits that I should know about
A typical day
I allow for up to 3-4 dogs at a time in daycare during the week, so they usually have plenty of opportunity to romp and wrestle together. On quieter days with fewer dogs, we’ll take a walk around town, play one on one with toys and even practice some training. Lower energy or more nervous dogs can have access to the living room, away from the action if they need a break.

Please note I take vacation the week of Christmas every year and will therefore not be available during that time.
