SEN Teacher, lover of dogs
Pet care experience
I’ve been teaching in schools since 2019, and I currently work as a special needs teacher in Putney. Growing up, I’ve always had a labrador at home. Since moving out of home a few years back, to a house in Brentford with my fiancé, Ollie, we’ve missed having a dog around! Ollie is a history teacher at a secondary school and I teach children with a variety of educational needs, such as Autism. We both work full time teaching, so we can’t justify having a dog of our own just yet with our conflicting schedules. I genuinely just love caring for dogs and would be more than happy to let them out and give them a fuss!! Our last family Labrador had diabetes so we injected him with insulin twice a day, so I am prepared to support a dog with this if necessary! I worked over two summers at a SEN camp in America, so I have lots of experience with caring for adults and children with special needs, so I’m more than open to supporting any special dogs. Like I said, I’ve always had a dog at home and I value the love they give and being to a family. I’m happy to walk for a few hours or 40 minutes, whatever you need! I’m often free most weekends as my parents (and their dog) live in the New Forest. I try to update my calendar often with my availability, most half terms/ school holidays; I can be available with prior notice (As Ollie and I tend to visit family during these periods). Looking forward to hearing from you!
Reviews
Emily looked after my dog for daycare. She was great at communicating with and looked after my dog so well. She updated me throughout the day with how he was doing and sent photos. She really cared for him and I felt confident in my dog spending the day with her. Would definitely book again.
Emily, has been a dog owner most of her life. Emily takes great responsibility and ownership over the welfare, feeding, exercise and mental wilfulness of her animals and is best described as a 'dog person'. Attentive and always thinking of the dog welfare and leaving time to ge t'home for the dog'. She is an outgoing person and loves the outside.

Availability
I work full time as a special needs teacher so I am free most evenings and most weekends. Typically I go on a walk over the weekend down the river/into Kew Gardens. On the weekends, I tend to plan one ‘free’ day and one ‘social’ day.
