I’ve been teaching in schools since 2019, and I currently work as a special needs teacher in Putney. Growing up, I’ve always had a labrador at home. Since moving out of home a few years back, to a house in Brentford with my fiancé, Ollie, we’ve missed having a dog around! Ollie is a history teacher at a secondary school and I teach children with a variety of educational needs, such as Autism. We both work full time teaching, so we can’t justify having a dog of our own just yet with our conflicting schedules. I genuinely just love caring for dogs and would be more than happy to let them out and give them a fuss!! Our last family Labrador had diabetes so we injected him with insulin twice a day, so I am prepared to support a dog with this if necessary! I worked over two summers at a SEN camp in America, so I have lots of experience with caring for adults and children with special needs, so I’m more than open to supporting any special dogs. Like I said, I’ve always had a dog at home and I value the love they give and being to a family. I’m happy to walk for a few hours or 40 minutes, whatever you need! I’m often free most weekends as my parents (and their dog) live in the New Forest. I try to update my calendar often with my availability, most half terms/ school holidays; I can be available with prior notice (As Ollie and I tend to visit family during these periods).
