I am a 23 year old Veterinary Assistant and have a strong passion for helping and caring for our furry friends! I recently graduated with my undergraduate degree in in Biology, Spanish, and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University and am now working on graduate school applications. During my time in Colorado, I worked in a research lab studying hibernating marmots and ground squirrels which also helped me complete my honors thesis. I worked at two different horseback riding facilities for 3 years handling and caring for the horses. I also volunteered at another barn for 3 years helping disabled children on horseback. I previously worked at an animal hospital for 2 years in Chicago where I have cared for dogs and cats alongside a veterinarian, assisting with check ups and surgical procedures. I also volunteered at another medical center/animal shelter working with numerous cats and dogs. I myself have also owned many animals, including a dog for 15 years. I currently own a dog, Stella, who is very friendly towards other dogs and children. I love animals and look forward to caring for your pet!
