Pet care experience
I am a medical student who misses her sweet golden retriever in her hometown. I will spend most of my time in the near future studying from my home and would love to spend time with dogs during my study breaks. I'm very active and would love to get some fresh air with a furry friend and take your dog walking, running, and hiking with me! I have grown up with dogs as an essential part of my family for my entire life so I will enjoy keeping your pup happy, entertained, and comfortable while we are spending time together. I have also cared for dogs with medical conditions which require extra attention, and have experience house sitting in clients' homes while they are out of town.

Emily has been a loving caregiver to my golden retriever and greyhound for years. As a veterinary student I look for ways to minimize my pets' stress and anxiety when I am away from the home. It's great knowing that Emily goes the extra mile by donating her time and energy to my sometimes needy animals. There is a noticeable difference in my pets' comfort, and general well being, under her care compared to other dog sitters. In one particular instance while I was away, she rushed to my home during a rainstorm to comfort my thunderphobic pup. She saved him from an anxiety attack and my furniture from his teeth. I cannot thank her enough!
Emily McDowell is a genuine lover of dogs. She has grown up with golden retrievers in her household and even has convinced her parents to adopt a border collie mix that she fell in love with while meeting the dog at its foster home. That dog, Heather, was a wonderful addition to the family. Emily was an integral part in helping Heather feel at home. Emily walked the dogs and played with them constantly. To this day, I am most comfortable leaving my dog with Emily while I am out of town. Emily is very concientious when it comes to canine care. She always comments that our dogs are more like people than dogs. Probably because we talk to them like they are people!! I highly recommend Emily as a qualified canine care giver.
