I was very lucky to grow up in a rural area with animals of all sizes. My family owned dogs since I was about 8, and in particular we rescued a beautiful black and tan coonhound that was my best friend growing up. I am and always have been very active, and my coonhound ran and hiked with me everywhere. Additionally, a dear friend of mine is a wonderful foster for dogs and puppies, and I have learned so much from her about dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. My experience with dogs ranges from small dogs (my parents currently own a miniature Schnauzer who is a complete ball of energy) to very large dogs (I have a friend who's favorite breed is Great Dane). I've been around dogs who prefer being inside, farm dogs who spend all day outside, anxious dogs, dogs who are everyone's best friend, rescue dogs, adventure dogs, etc. I honestly love dogs and animals and am excited to meet your pet! Additionally, I am very active and love to run and hike, so I am willing to help your dog get outside and get some exercise. I'm looking forward to working with you!
