Pet care experience
I believe dogs are a gift we humans hardly deserve—as such, I strive to cherish them and give them the love and attention they deserve. In addition to having had dogs in my home since childhood, I have been house- and dog-sitting for five years now. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and dogs with disabilities (deaf, blind, needing medication). My policy will always be positive-reinforcement only and mutual trust between dog and human. My specialty is giving lots of pets and cuddles. I have never met a dog I didn't love! I'm a senior undergraduate English major, but my class days are short and I am always available on weekends. Emily is awesome! She gave us great confidence from the beginning that she was somebody we could depend on and that our pets would be well cared for. Our two dogs and cat took to her very quickly, and throughout our time away we got frequent updates, pictures and check ins (to make sure our flights were on time). She was very flexible, left our house very clean, and left us a sweet note and Christmas toy for our boys. We are so appreciative of the great care we received; we would highly recommend her services to any pet owner/ lover.
Emily is a wonderful dog sitter. I never hesitated to leave town knowing that she was there to care for my elderly golden. As Abby got older, and the obvious presented itself, Emily was like family making sure she was not alone during her last few days. I am so grateful to have found her, and will use her for all my future four legged family members.

I have never met a dog I didn't love! All sizes and breeds are perfectly fine with me. Before I get to know your dog in person, please let me know of their general disposition (excitable, mellow, nervous, independent, lazy, hyper, etc.) and whether they have any behavioral issues (dog aggressive/anxious, people aggressive/anxious, furniture chewer, escape artist). It is extremely important that you inform me of any medical issues they have (seizures, arthritis, allergies) and if they take any medication. I want your dog to be healthy and happy!
A typical day
If you and your dog have a routine route for walks, I can follow it. However, if your dog has a special love for parks or playing catch, I'll gladly indulge them. If given permission to transport your pet in my car, I can also take them on field trips to pet stores approved by you!
