Hi! My name is Emily! I am an absolute animal fanatic with extra time on my hands and couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with your pets!! I played collegiate tennis at WVU and got a psychology degree. I worked for corporate America for 6 years and now have been working at a fitness program in Richmond for 1 year! I took care of dogs and cats in downtown Chicago after college which takes a higher level of attention due to busy streets and traffic and now in Richmond for a year! I have also cared for dogs with anxiety so I understand animals have individual needs and shouldn’t be treated like they are all the same. I grew up owning dogs, cats, fish, and even took my psychology research rat home bc I couldn’t let them get rid of him!! I love ALLL things paws ! Currently, I have experience watching dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens from rover. I’m open to anything as long as you show me the ropes!

Currently, I only watching my friends dogs at my house or animals I have been watching for a long time and trust in my home and I know will get along with my dog. I am flexible to do whatever you need me to do in your home! If you need me to set an alarm, clean up any mess they’ve made, wipe their paws… I’m open to anything!

Please let me know any of your animals have special nuisances as well as ANY aggressive behavior. I know all animals are different and I want to respect them! If they don’t like being pet in certain places or need to be fed a certain way… I’m open to anything!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks and runs! I love to play fetch with dogs. I love to throw toys with dogs. I also love to snug and pet all animals if they like that as well! As for cats, I like to feel them out and see what kind of loving they need! Some are very affectionate and some are not! I let them lead :) I love to play with cats because they are so funny! Both dogs and cats give me such joy :)

Availability
My current job is mostly from home and has flexible hours. I am only required to be physically there for 1-2 hours a day leaving me plenty of time the rest of the day for pet sitting. I couldn’t be more excited!! Please be aware that I have to drive to you and all my clients so I will make it there depending on when you are on my route which is normally with in 1-2 hours of when you booked it! Due to gas prices, I have to be economical.
