By far the absolute worst experience ever. I left my dog with Emily Thursday night and left to Missouri for National Guard training for the weekend. I even told her that my dog could be spazzy at first. First day of training I get a message from her around 8am stating that I needed to find someone else to watch my dog by 330pm. Everyone who uses Rover frequently knows that it is extremely difficult to find a sitter the day of. She even accused me of not telling her how “high maintenance” my dog was. I have used Rovers plenty of times before without a single incident or anyone accusing of my dog being “high maintenance”. My dog has even stayed with other sitters who was also sitting other dogs at the same time and didn’t have any issues. While at training I do my best to find someone who can go get my dog. I had just recently moved to the city and didn’t have many options. It was a stressful process on what was supposed to be a good day being that I was going to get promoted later that day. I finally found someone and informed her that they didn’t have a car. She asked if should could Uber my dog there around 330/4pm. I said yes. Around 3 o’clock I get a text from my friend saying that Emlily told him he needed to come pick up my dog because she can’t drop him off anymore. At this point I am extremely upset and start questioning why the change of plans. All of a sudden she has a doctors appointment. If you have a doctors appointment, then don’t agree to sit my dog or anyone else’s dog. She finally drops him off around 7pm. My friend had to work at 730. Way to wait till the last minute. She then sends me a picture of what she says was the damage that my dog did. In the picture there were scratches on a door frame and the door itself. But what caught my attention was that there was tile on the floor, cabinets and a countertop. It looked like a bathroom. I asked if she had locked my dog in the bathroom and of course she denied it. But why would there be scratches on the door and door frame if he wasn’t trapped inside? Lots of questions, lot of unnecessary stress, never using Rover again. Definitely do not recommend leaving your dog with this sitter!

Emily was amazing. Made me feel very comfortable leaving my fur-baby for a few days. She took him on long walks and sent pictures everyday. She even snuggled with him as if he were her own!
