Pet care experience
As the proud rescuer of a wonderful dachshund-beagle mix who is now a certified Canine Good Citizen by the AKC and Therapy Dog, I understand the importance of having your dog cared for the way you'd care for him or her if you were home. I am passionate about animals and have been volunteering with dogs for years. I am a certified volunteer/foster parent at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, frequent dog-sitter, and I have volunteered for multiple rescues. I am currently working as an intern at Sunshine School for Dogs, LLC. training puppies and pre-adolescent dogs in obedience and agility. My experience extends beyond being a dog lover. As a college student, I would love the extra income and the opportunity to help you to know that your dog is in great hands while you are away. My calendar is as updated as possible, but I have class 8-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and group meetings, events, etc. may arise so please message me as early as possible so I can free my schedule to devote 100% of my attention to your beloved pet! :)

Emily took really good care of our active dog! She maintained communication with us so we knew he was happy and healthy. Our dog requires walks as we have no yard, Emily was happy to walk him. Highly recommended!
Emily is an amazing dog sitter! Her knowledge of and love for dogs is evident from the moment you meet her and she meets your dog. She enjoys playing with them but is also good at sticking to the rules and enforcing behaviors that you want enforced. Plus, with her dog training skills, we came home to a better trained dog thanks to her training knowledge and efforts with our dog. I highly recommend her!

A typical day
I prefer to travel to the dog's home to ensure that he or she is provided for in an environment that is safe and comfortable, but I would definitely take a dog into my own home under certain circumstances. I will spend hours playing with, petting, training, and walking your dog. I love giving dogs affection as much as they love receiving it. I will also ensure that the training tactics you use at home on a regular basis are enforced without making your dog feel intimidated. I have experience with all different types of dog personalities and am happy to adapt to your dog's unique needs.
