Experienced Dog Owner and Handler!
Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Emily! I'm 26 and a mom of two awesome kiddos (9 month old and 4 years old) as well as one cool pup. I have spent my life around all sorts of animals, especially dogs and have spent a good portion of the last 5-6 years invested in learning basic dog obedience. I have rehabbed a handful of mischievous pups including my own when I first adopted her and really enjoy seeing the progress each and every dog can make. We are an active family and enjoy walks, training, fetch, naps, spa days, and many more activities. I am always looking to expand my knowledge on care, training, and basic dog knowledge. I began Rover in 2016 when I was longing for my very own dog but turned that into caring for many others instead. I love meeting all sorts of dogs and their owners and becoming part of their circle! When I am not doing Rover, I have fostered many dogs through Dante's Hope and Cajun Tails, as well as dogs I have taken in on my own. I love being able to teach my children to properly interact with animals, they are brought up learning to read dog body language as well as learn responsibility through helping me care for our fosters and boarders. I believe many important lessons and values can be taught through caring for animals and dogs have some of the kindest souls to be able to teach small children. I really look forward to meeting your pup and answering any questions!! * All dogs must be ok with small children (infants and toddlers). * 🛀 I offer spa services! 😊 All prices are dependent on the size of your dog! What’s offered: • Bath- wash & dry. I have a high velocity dryer that I will use if your dog allows it, otherwise they will be towel dried. • Blow Out*doesn't require a bath beforehand*- Some dogs shed wayyyyy more than others, especially double coated breeds and intact females! A great way to help reduce shedding is to get the dogs coat blown out with a high velocity dryer. It also helps maintain a soft, shiny and healthy coat. Using a high velocity dryer is the most effective way to remove the dead undercoat. *I will not force a dog to sit through a blow out to avoid stressing them out. It is something that can be worked on though. Brush outs are a good option for dogs who do not like the dryer! •Brush Out- some dogs don’t like the loud noise from the high velocity dryer and that’s ok! I am more than happy to work on it with them but until then, or just an alternative altogether, you can get your dog a brush out! Brush outs are the same end goal as blow outs, getting out all of the dead undercoat! • Nail trims- I have experience with both a dremel and clippers and would love to help maintain a healthy nail length for your pup. This is something else that needs to be trained, especially if your adult dog isn’t getting a regular nail trim. I am more than happy to help work with your dog to be able to trim his/her nails. • Ears& Teeth- this is fairly quick and easy. If requested beforehand I can do this at no charge. 🦴 ask about prices for any spa services 🦴 Looking forward to meeting you and your pup(s)!! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, just reach out to me😃

Emily was awesome! I was a little nervous about leaving my buddy with someone I didn’t know, but after meeting with Emily I was completely comfortable. She treated him like her own and sent him home fresh and clean. I think he was a little sad to leave! Thanks for everything!
Emily is communicating well about Dixie. She is professional and is taking good care of Dixie. Safety is a priority and she is making sure of that. I love getting all the pictures and details about their time together.
Emily did such a great job! We will definitely be repeat users!
Emily was wonderful! This was a last minute, first time to book and everything was so easy! I will definitely use her again!

Information Emily L. would like to know about your pet
is your dog(s) spayed or neutered? Crate trained? Separation anxiety? Any quirks? Quirks and behavioral issues (non-aggressive) do not scare me, and I am willing to work with you and your pup(s) if needed!
A typical day
We enjoy walks at the levy and LSU Lakes, car rides, lounging on the couch, spa days, and would definitely be open to any other activities your dog may enjoy!
