Dog fosters turn Rover!
Pet care experience
We fostered a total of 15 labradors for the past 2 years Cincinnati Lab Rescue. We are looking to continue the care for dogs, but a little closer to home on an overall shorter-term basis. We did love the experience though and hope to do it again one day! Currently, we also volunteer at 4 Paws for Ability with the puppies. If you are interested in a dog photo shoot, please let us know so we can quote additional pricing. These photo shoots go above and beyond your average every day activities. They can be seasonal, maybe celebrating a special day as a surprise for someone...The ideas are endless and we're happy to work with you while you pooch hangs out with us! ALL DOGS THAT STAY WITH US MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. ALL DOGS NEED TO BE HOUSE TRAINED. We have a bell on the back door and show the dogs around the house as soon as they come in. I work from home and my husband has a very flexible schedule. Between the 2 of us, one of us, if not both are normally home. We go on daily walks or runs at least once a day. We have a fenced in yard and during the summer, we are out at the pool quite a bit in the back yard. We do allow dogs in the pool and will teach them to swim if they don't know already.

We had the pleasure of having Emily and Kris look after our goldendoodle, Sam, while we were away, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Sam tends to struggle with separation anxiety, but Emily and Kris went above and beyond to ensure he felt comfortable and loved in our absence. We were particularly impressed with the daily updates and photos they sent us, which not only put our minds at ease but also showed us just how much fun Sam was having. It was evident that they took the time to understand Sam’s unique needs and were very proactive in communicating with us, making sure we were always in the loop. The care and attention they provided were exceptional, and it’s clear they have a genuine love for animals. We returned to a happy and relaxed dog, which speaks volumes. We highly recommend Emily and Kris to any pet parents out there; they truly are exceptional pet sitters who will treat your furry friend as if they were their own. Emily, Kris and their son were awesome with our dog Duke! Our girls loved the pictures they sent daily with updates. This was our first experience with rover and we will definitely be using Emily and Kris again.

ALL DOGS WHO STAY AT OUR HOME MUST BE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS, HEART WORM AND FLEA AND TICK PREVENTION. NO EXCEPTIONS. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of gates to have crowd control where needed. Our fenced yard is not good for diggers though! There is one flight of steps to go to the backyard, but once there, they can party!

Please let me know if there is anything special your dog needs. Having fostered for so long, we are pretty accustomed to getting dogs and having to do most of the guesswork ourselves, so we always appreciate tips!
A typical day
On a typical day we go for at least a 1 mile walk no matter the weather! If it's nice out or someone needs to burn off some energy we go longer. During the summer months we are in the pool with the dogs who like to swim.

We have had dogs for so long now, I'm not sure we would now how to function without them! They are a part of our life and we have chosen to as necessary to each pups needs.
