Emily is a caring and contientious dog lover. She is extremely reliable and puts 100% of her attention into what she does. I have watched Emily care for her own dog and other people's dogs, both with the same level of commitment and energy.

Emily has taken care of two of our dogs ( a Bernese mountain dog and a pitbull/boxer/lab mix) and two of our cats. It is clear that she loves animals and knows a great deal about animal behavior. She establishes a clear sense of confidence with dogs so they appear to understand that, while she is 'fun' and plays with them, she is still the boss. Another very important reason that Emily is so good with dogs and cats is that she is as energetic as they are. So, high energy dogs are guaranteed to get a good work out on their walk with Emily. Our Bernese, however, was definitely not a high energy dog and Emily knew exactly how much exercise he could tolerate. Finally, and I think the most important characteristic of a pet caregiver - Emily is doggedly (pun intended) responsible. If she says that she will be there by 2:00 pm to pick up the dog she will be there.
