Let your pets have a home away from home, and their own vacation. Hi I'm Emily! I am the owner of Em & Arlo Pet Care. We are some of the best and most experienced pet sitters in the area! We offer boarding in our home, doggie daycare, and drop in visits. We are fully insured for all your pet care needs. Whether you want cute photos of your pets while you are away or giving them some love I am your girl! I have extensive knowledge on dogs, but also lots of experience with other animals as well. I have trained and raised service dogs. If you need a pet sitter or even help training basic and advanced tricks, I’m here for ya! Our home offers lots of love, cuddles, and fun playtime. We will love your pet just as much as you do while you are away. I enjoy dog training and helping dogs be their best they can be. We can't wait to take care of your pets! I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, dogs with illnesses/ special needs, and all dog ages in between! New to rover? Message me for a special discounted rate for your first booking with me! Your dogs will have a blast with our dogs Arlo and Flynn. When your pets are here they become apart of our family. We have a big fenced yard for fun outside playtime and a puppy proof home! Because of our secure fenced in yard there will be no issues with pets trying to escape. If your pet is an escape artist we have a 50ft long lines we use in the yard if needed. They will still have free range to the whole yard, but will not be able to escape. We keep any objects that may be dangerous to a pet up out of reach or in closets. We monitor all pets for abnormal behaviors, sicknesses, and dog body language. If anything were to come up I am able to act quickly with your pets best interest in mind.

She did a meet and greet with my two dogs before doing a drop in visit which I appreciated because I have a dog who can be leery of new people at times. She sent lots of pictures and wrote a sweet message about her time with my girls. Will definitely be using her again!

Safety is a high standard at our home. We keep all exits secure at all times to prevent pets escaping. I keep all pets separate during feeding time. If for some reason dogs are being left home alone, all dogs from different homes will be separated for safety reasons. If dogs normally are crated we crate them. We keep careful watch on all dogs especially when outside to ensure they will be safe at all times. If any issues arise we will contact you ASAP. What makes us different from other sitters? We are fully insured with our own private insurance policy pet care professionals. In addition to the Rover Guarantee. All areas of the home are cleaned and sanitized before and after all stays. This ensures all dogs in our home stay as healthy as possible while they are here! For the safety of myself, my family, and my own dogs we require all pets to have a meet and greet before booking. This gives me the insight if we are good match for each other and how to best care for your dog in their time here.

I would like to know the background and personality of the dog. The dog must be friendly to other people and animals. For the safety of myself, other clients dogs, and my own dogs, I am not able to take agressive dogs or dogs with bite histories for boarding or day care. Puppies who play bite are acceptable as they are still learning how to play with others. To be in accordance with our insurance policies and local laws / regulations ALL dogs we take care of must be up to date on all vaccinations for their age including but not limited to: kennel cough, canine influenza, parvo, rabies, flea/ tick / heart worm preventives ect. Proof will be required. This ensures we keep all dogs in our care, including our own, safe and healthy during their stay with us! The rabies vaccination is required in our county for all dogs and cats. A form will be sent to you where you can upload a copy of your pets most up to date vaccination records. We would like to know if dogs have special schedules, special diets or specific needs. I am willing to accommodate if needed when it is communicated before hand. Please make sure you bring their food, food dishes, and your dogs collar with tags to their stay here. Please communicate before hand on expectations for communication. I normally send 1-3 updates a day about your pet and how they are doing along with photos. If you would like more I am more than willing to accommodate if communicated before hand.
A typical day
I believe that mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation. We will play enrichment games as well as having fun outside. I love to do short training sessions with dogs on basic skills like heeling on walks, sit, recall, and more. There is always lots of treats. In the summer time we have a doggy pool we like to bring out for some fun in the sun!

Availability
I work a hybrid schedule, but mostly at home during the week and have weekends off. If I do need to go in office most pets in our care are not left home alone. They often are with my retired mother or my fiancé at home with our dogs. My fiancé and mother live with us and help out with all dogs in our home. Starting May 2nd I will be transitioning to pet sitting full time! I will be home full time to care for your pets! Drop off and pick up times include the spring / summer business hours of 7am-10pm. Any drop off times before 7am will need to be adjusted to the night before or between 6am-6:59am will include a $20 early drop off fee. Any pick up / drop off times after 10pm will need to be adjusted to next business day hours.
