EJ the Rescue volunteer!
Pet care experience
Hi! I love dogs, that’s a given, but I volunteer for a rescue in Romania every week with social media support, I’ve learnt a lot about how to make a dog comfortable and most of all, happy. Working with our rehome and behavioural team, i’ve picked up strong knowledge on how to walk and socialise a dog appropriately. I have two rabbits of my own, I’m planning to rescue when the time is right, until then, please can I look after your dog?

EJ was super friendly and helpful with our requests for our older Labrador. I felt very comfortable going away for the weekend with her looking after the pup and giving him some extra attention. Would certainly use again
Emily took great care of Scout. It was clear when we picked up our dog that she was happy and calm with Emily, which for a dog that can be a bit nervous at times was really heart warming to see. Emily made Scout feel at home, and made us feel at ease leaving our little pup with someone! Thanks Emily.
We asked EJ to take care of our dog and cat while we were away in May and she did a fantastic job taking care of them! They weren't even excited to see us. EJ went above and beyond just walking and feeding our dog - she allowed him to be part of her routine which is exactly what he needed; even better, even took our Bengal cat out for a walk! That's not for the faint hearted (there is a reason he isn't allowed to roam freely....). We also loved that EJ was always honest and transparent about her plans for our boys which was reassuring. We really looked forward to her fun updates and photos posted on Rover. Will 100% book her again!

My rabbits are free roam inside my home, it takes a lot of work, but it is so worth it for the way they react when they know it’s play or cuddle time. I’ve even been working on commands with them! They love snacks. My volunteer position revolves around communicating necessary behavioural assessment around a variety of dogs. This means I am understanding of behavioural issues and will find no issue working with an owner to support their dogs needs, as I know how important it is. Safety is always the priority and working to any requirements an owner sets will be my number one priority! During our initial meet and greet we can cover any questions and practices you have when it comes to your dogs routine. I like to cover reactions to dogs on walks, commands, dinner time rituals etc.
