Pet care experience
My family has had dogs in our home since I was born. Growing up, I learned that taking care of a dog is a huge responsibility. I grew up with a Pug named Boomer and a German Shepherd named Kobe. We currently have a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Molly, and an 11 year old Rat Terrier, Rooney. I have lots of experience with escape artists, as Molly is always looking for a way out of the house. I am used to opening doors carefully, as well as securing collars and harnesses so they are escape-proof! I also have experience taking care of dogs post-surgery. Both Molly and Rooney have had multiple surgeries that required us to give them pills for days to weeks after the operation. In the past I have stayed up all night to make sure they did not experience any major post-surgery side effects. I have cared for over 100 pets since becoming a Rover Sitter and am well-versed in pet care best practices. I am extremely attentive and prioritize the health and safety of any dog under my care. I also accept cats! I do not currently have any cats of my own, but I have had both indoor and outdoor cats in the past. I am happy to accept cats, whether they are indoor, outdoor, or both! I have experience caring for cats of all personalities, including those who are unfriendly or more independent.

Jake is always happy to see Emily and always comes out for her which he doesn’t do for many visitors. 😻. She’s always reliable and checks in right after the visit! It really makes it comfortable for me to be able to go out of town! Thank you again Emily😊
Emily is an amazing caregiver and my timid puppy fell in love with her instantly. She’s in high demand at her nurse job just as much as she is on Rover so don’t think and book her if you ever see her calendar open up. Thanks again Emily!

Before confirming a booking, I prefer to have a good understanding of your dog’s personality and needs. I’ll need to know if your dog is an escape artist as well as his/her energy level. Please also let me know if your dog needs any medications or other special care. Anything you can tell me to get a better idea of who your dog is will help a lot! I don’t really have any “dealbreakers", however I prefer pups who are potty trained and friendly! For cats, I will need to know his/her energy level and indoor/outdoor status. Please let me know if your cat will require medication or other special care while you are away. I will also need to know your cat’s personality so I can provide appropriate care! ** For the health and safety of your pet and all pets I care for, please ensure your furry friend(s) stay up to date on flea & tick treatment.
A typical day
I love to spoil dogs!! I will use whatever toys, treats, or other items you have available to make sure your dog has lots of fun while you’re away! I will give your dog the same attention and care I give my own. Each dog is unique and has his/her own needs and interests. The more I know about your pup, the better I can incorporate those details into a great, planned out visit!

Availability
After being a Rover sitter for 2 years throughout nursing school, I am now a full-time RN. My availability is now significantly reduced, however I am happy to accept last minute/occasional requests when able. Even if my calendar shows I am unavailable, feel free to reach out anyway. I’m happy to try to make things work!
