Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for quite a long time, since before I could drive. I worked in a pet store for nearly four years, and managed the animal department. I am experienced with all animals furry, scaly, and feathery. My friends and neighbors rely on me to watch their homes and drop in on their pets while they are on vacation or if they work long hours. I am used to pets of all sizes, typically I feed, water, potty, and play with any of the pets I sit for.

Drop ins usually last from 30 minutes to an hour. I let the pups outside to potty, let them play around for a bit. If it is food time, I prepare their bowls and feed. I have previous experience giving pets their medicines if necessary. Everyone will have the opportunity to potty again before I leave. Pets will be situated where the client would like them (crate, a specific room, or free roaming) before I leave. I will make sure there are no messes before I leave, clean up whatever is necessary. Cats will be fed and their litter boxes scooped clean.
Information Emily H. would like to know about your pet
The information that is most important to me is knowing the dogs likes and dislikes. Each dog is known to have their specific way of things. I want to make things as easy as possible for them while you are away. Do they have a specific place they eat in the house? Are they a runner? Are they an escape artist? Do they struggle with stairs or need help getting outside? Are there places in the house they are not supposed to be? Do they have any food allergies? Can they have treats? Do they have any food aggression? These are questions based on previous dog sitting occurrences I have had.
A typical day
I love to play fetch or tug a war with anyone who wants to participate! We will get breakfast or dinner out of the way so we can play, get out and run. If the client would like, we can always end with a treat before I go.

Availability
School has started back up, but I am available for weekends! Also if you need an afternoon visit, I am available after 3:30pm. Holidays are around the corner, I will be in town for those times as well.
