I have had pets of my own since I was a young child, my father worked at the wildlife center so we would rescue and rehabilitation wild animals as well as take care of our own pets ranging from snakes to birds to cats to chickens to dogs! I also volunteered at the animal shelter for several years, and fostered many litters of kittens during that time. In addition, I did a year long internship at a veterinary clinic. I have also pet sit many cats, dogs, and smaller critters! I work part time and have a lot of availability and a somewhat flexible schedule.
