I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I got my first dog, an Australian Sheppard, for my 9th birthday. I trained her at 9 years old as well, she was my responsibility (thanks mom, I learned so much!). In college, I fostered a dog, a pit bull that had a rough first year (kept in a crate all day, stolen, then abandoned. She was a loyal, loving girl. She also was never properly trained so socializing her with other dogs and humans created some challenges, but we worked really hard together. I found her a home on a farm where she is living the dream. An experience that changed my life :) I have worked many house/farm sitting, farm animal caretaking, dog sitting, and dog walking jobs as well. Most recently while working for the Kings Canyon National Park, my co-worker was a horse packer and would be in the wilderness for weeks at a time and I would watch her pitty mix, Lola.
