Pet care experience
I am currently a zookeeper with over 3 years of experience caring for exotic animals of all kinds. Before that, I worked as a veterinary technician’s assistant in a veterinary ER for years and as a receptionist/assistant at a vet clinic as well.

We can’t say enough good things about Emily! Our dogs are old and require food prep, frequent potty breaks, and sometimes medication. Emily handled it all beautifully.
Emily was super accommodating of our situation being between houses. She updated us with several photos and detailed updates throughout the week, which made our vacation all the more relaxing that our cats were being taken care of!
Emily is absolutely THE BEST kittie sitter and I would highly recommend her!!!! She was flexible when our plans changed and even agreed to watch 2 additional cats for us. Emily wrote a comprehensive report, along with pictures after each visit, which gave us the comfort of knowing Maggie was being well cared for. Thank you Emily!
Emily was wonderful with Louie! She spent time playing with him and taking extra special care of him on her visits! I think Louie fell in love with her when all was said and done!?

I would like to know the kinds of things that your pet enjoys as well as things that may make them uncomfortable. Specific postures, words, or situations that may be sensitive for them. I would like to know how to best calm your pet both when he or she is frightened as well as when they are a little over excited. I have no breed preferences in particular. I am partial to large breeds but love all animals!
A typical day
I enjoy going for walks both in the neighborhood as well as in a park where there are more smells for your dog to explore. I’m not very good at throwing but I will play fetch all day.

Availability
I work full-time at the zoo and my weekends are very irregular, so I am unable to guarantee that I will be available during the day. However, I am more than happy to do drop in visits during my lunch hour if you are close to downtown and if I am off the day you request, I will be sure to let you know! I am also available mornings before work and evenings/nights after work.
