Individual attention for your dog!
Pet care experience
Our specialty is an acre of fun and focused, 1-on-1 attention for your dog - provided by the whole family! I have owned and cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, chickens, horses, rabbits...the list goes on. I regularly pet sit for friends, family, and neighbors, and rescue dogs that arrive from Mexico to be adopted locally. I grew up with golden retrievers & labs but now have a sweet rescue boston terrier/chihuahua mix, Yoko, and rescue cats Malmo & Pudge. In the summertime, when my parents visit from Mexico, I also take care of their dog, Dulce. When your pet stays with us, the whole family will be involved in taking care of them, including my two girls (age 7 and 10, who love dog walking and bathing) and husband (who we call our dog whisperer--he's amazing at training). We only accept 1 reservation at a time (max of 2 if your dogs or 1 cat) because our goal is for your dog or cat to feel like they're at home and a part of the family, and I think it's easiest to accomplish that when we can are able to give our guest pet our full attention and are only integrating one new pack member at a time. :)

Wonderful family to take care of our baby boy!!!!
Sasha always is so happy when she goes to stay with Emily and the family. Thank you all for truly treating Sasha as your own. 💕
Thanks for taking excellent care of Gizmo !!!!!
Emily and her family always provide a great home for Maggie. We never have to worry about Maggie’s care. She’s always happily exhausted at pick up.

I have experience with pets with special needs (my late cat, Little, had Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a non-degenerative disorder which effected his motor skills, and my current dog, Yoko, who is partially blind), senior pets, and puppies and kittens. I can give medication as needed. My family's goal is to provide a safe, fun environment for pets to feel at home and be a part of the "pack." DOGS - I feel comfortable with both large and small dogs. I have a fenced back yard, plus 1 acre of space for play time. I love taking dogs to the dog park. We live alongside Bridle Trails State Park, so as often as I can I like to take dogs on walks in the woods. I can crate as needed, or they can sleep on a dog bed close to the humans if that helps them feel more secure. We specialize in giving lots of love and play time to help minimize separation anxiety. CATS - Me and my two daughters are definitely cat ladies. Our cat, Malmo, gets a ton of attention every day through pets, snuggles, and toys. We'd love to offer the same for yours. We have a spare boarding cage that we can use to slowly acclimate your kitty to the full house if needed, plus extra toys, bowls, litter boxes and beds.

Information Emily E. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know about your dog or cat's temperament--what they love to do and what makes them feel relaxed and comfortable, so we can recreate that experience as best as possible while you're gone.
A typical day
Walks in the state park, jogs (I run), trips to the local elementary school to play catch on the big field, or just frolic in the backyard. Our dog Yoko walks the neighborhood loop 2x day. Sometimes we head to the beach to swim & play fetch, or the Marymoor dog park, or on a hike in the mountains.

Availability
I own my own business and work primarily from home, which gives me flexibility and lots of time to spend together with my pets. I typically walk my own dog every morning and evening, with a breaks midday and in the evening to walk around and play in the back yard. Weekends we might do adventures--to the park, the beach, or the mountains.
