Your dog will be part of our family

Pet care experience

My husband and I live in Canton Ga. Unfortunately April 2016, our precious baby (dog) passed away with cancer, unexpectedly. We have been heartbroken and devastated. I took some time off from rover so I could heal but realized that only made me miss him even more because he loved having play dates and other dogs around. We are nowhere near ready to invest in another dog full time but we love loving on ya'lls fur babies! Rover allows us to do just that. We have a big fenced in back yard for them to play in and a cover with fans for when they get hot. We also allow dogs to come inside and play as ours was an inside dog but loved his playtime outside with others. Our neighborhood has sidewalks too for awesome dog walks. I love dogs and love playing with them. We miss our fur baby tremendously, but with the help of you all, we still get the opportunity to spread our love with other dogs. About this sitter: Hi, my name is Emily, I have cared for dogs for over 9 years. I have watched others dogs at our home as well as at their homes including overnight stays at their house. Willing to make sure not only the dogs are happy but also the owners. Being able to care for dogs is a wonderful feeling, it makes everyday better! We now have two kids. A one year old and a three year old. They absolutely love being around all the dogs we have come into our home. Are gentle and loving as well. Our toddler usually ends up sleeping with the dogs in his bed haha. I had my baby (dog) since he was 3 weeks, however he passed April 2016 at 8 years old. I trained him completely myself. It was so rewarding to have his love in return. I am experienced with giving shots and medicine to dogs, keeping them 100% happy while their owners are away, and I love to take them out to play as much in one day as possible. Why I love dog sitting I grew up in a home where dogs were family since the day I was born. We treat them like family. When I went to college, I received my first dog that was mine all mine. I got him when he was 3 weeks old and had to bottle feed him, needless to say, he was my baby. I adore dogs and want to spoil them rotten. My family always leaves theirs with us when they need to because they know their babies will be in the best care. I raised Chaos to love children, dogs, other animals and adults so there was never a question of "will he hurt this or that" he was always around and went EVERYWHERE we went. I wanted to get another dog for our family but came across this website and felt the desire to be a host family for others so we could enjoy several different types of dogs while helping families and donating to the lost dogs association plus our dog loved to play with all types and sizes so it constantly reminds us of him. :) Meet my pets No other pets. About my yard We have a big fenced in back yard. Lots of shade to hide in but also tons of sunshine. There is a back deck with a fan on it for hot days and a cooling system on the bottom deck too. My experience administering medication Yes, and I do NOT charge extra for any medication needed.

Emily is one of the best dog sitters we have ever had. Our dogs are not easy and Emily is very patient and kind with them. I know when we drop our dogs off at her home, they are in the best hands. She frequently sends photos so I know our puppies are having a fun vacation as well. She's very flexible when it comes to drop off and pick up and she's always willing to work with us. My fur babies LOVE spending time at Emily's and they always come back EXHAUSTED! I highly recommend booking with Emily!

Emily and Wes were awesome with our new rescue dog . Emily was flexible with working out a plan to help us give our new family member a break of being alone while we had to work . Jax loved their big backyard and helping Wes with errands around the house :) We will def use them again !!!

Emily is wonderful. She stays in contact and I had no concerns that my dog was well cared for. She played with her, walked her and was flexible with drop off and pick up. Would recommend.

Information Emily D. would like to know about your pet

I do not have a specific breed preference, they all are equally lovable. I would like to know prior to hosting the dog if they are potty trained and if they chew on furniture. Honesty helps me to prepare for the stay with a much more enjoyable experience for all. I would also like to make sure they get along with our dog as they will be together during the whole stay. One other thing I would like to know is if the parents are comfortable with their dog(s) traveling short distances with us, for example-the dogie park and if the dog can swim in the nearby creek.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Our neighborhood is more secluded then most, the only traffic we receive other than mailman and delivery trucks, are the people who live here. Not busy. So I walk the dogs in the neighborhood but mostly we take the short drive (2 miles) to the dogie park and let them run/play there daily. It is a fenced in area with two sides, one for the small pups and one for the big dogs. It contains dogie bags for picking up their waste and water fountains for them to drink from. Your dog's sleeping arrangement All dogs will sleep inside with our dog. Feel free to drop off their bed, toys and other things they love at home. I believe in leaving the dog with as much of an "at home" feel as possible. Time I'll spend with your dog I plan to be with the dogs all day except if I need to run an errand.
