Pet care experience
Hi! I am a lifelong animal lover and am hoping to spend some time pet sitting to decide if I want to adopt a dog in the near future. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and horses and have experience taking care of everything from puppies to senior dogs, cats, and horses. Before I moved to the Portland area, I spent most weekends throughout the summer house/dog/horse sitting for friends in Kentucky and am happy to provide references for care!

Emily is the definition of an animal lover. She has had horses and dogs her entire life and it has givien her ability to read animal’s needs more than the average person. She is extremely organized and responsible but most of all extremely caring especially when it comes to animals.
Emily D. is one of the most empathetic people I have ever met. Her two dogs at home are extremely important to her and she grew up taking care of them, her horse and her childhood dog who has since passed away. She often talks about the impact that dog had on her and the bond the two of them shared. Also, my moms dog, Duke, is usually aloof around strangers but he warmed right up to her and now gets even more excited to see her than he is to see me! Emily D. will also work very hard, she is used to maintaining a very busy schedule and getting things done. Animals are one of her passions and she would do an amazing job taking care of them.

I love hiking, nature, and car rides! I can take your dog on any outdoor adventure they’d like and live near quite a few parks and nature trails.

I work full time at a Therapeutic horse back riding center and have flexibility to work from home some days if your pet may need some extra time with a human! I work Tuesday-Saturday, but usually get off work around 1 pm on Saturdays!
