Pet care experience
I've always felt a special connection to animals and I have a passion for providing for them. I grew up with cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs, and have been a dog mom for 16 years. I love going for walks, hikes, swims, and the dog park. I have experience with puppies and seniors, and I’m comfortable giving oral medication as well as eye drops.

Emily loves all animals, especially dogs. She is a responsible and caring owner of her own dog of 14 years, taking care of all his needs as he gets to be a senior dog. She is aware of all a dog needs, commands, leash walking, cleanup, vet and grooming checkups and dietary needs. All dogs are important to her. She is the person I would recommend to care for any dog.
I’ve known Emily for over 10 years, and in that time she’s been a loving and doting pet-mom to her very good boy Rusty. He’s had emotional and physical challenges throughout, and she’s always managed to put his happiness and care first. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know, and without hesitation would trust my dog with her.

I have a small house and a small non fenced yard, but there are hiking trails and a dog park close by, that we take advantage of often. My Kanga loves to play with other dogs but is very respectful around ones who are older or more timid. We don’t have cats in our house, so I’m honestly not sure how she would do with them.

I don’t have breed preferences, but a very high energy dog might not be a good fit during the week, since I do work outside of the house. What are your dogs favorite activities? Do they have any quirks/anxieties I should know about? How does your dog get along with others? Has your dog been left with a sitter before?
A typical day
Your dog can look forward to daily walks (I’m good at bundling up in the winter), playing fetch and/or tug of war, or a movie and snuggles, depending on their energy level.

I work full time M-F, so I'm available for stop-ins during the weekday evenings, and I'm available weekends for day care or hikes. For overnights at your home, my shepherd would need to come with.
