I have had experience in varying areas of dog care, making me a great fit for your pup. Before I could legally volunteer on my own my dad took me to shelters to volunteer as a dog-walker. Early on I learned how to leash train a dog and how to not let the big ones bully me or get away, a very important lesson for a tiny girl (all lessons learned the hard way of course). Once I reached age 18 I volunteered regularly on my own and additionally became a foster parent for my local shelter. I would take home pets, often ones with special needs (illness, abusive histories, unruly behavior) to provide social skills, love, and even medical care. At 20 I worked at a dog training and boarding facility where I furthered those skills listed above. Working with animals gives me joy and fulfillment, knowing that they will go on to provide equal love and care for their owners- circle of life.
