While I've cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds, my experience growing up with 3 toy breed dogs has uniquely prepared for me whatever your "troublesome" small dog can throw at me! Whether they're barkers, antisocial, a runner, or reactive. there's no need to fear: I know the body language and techniques to put your dog at ease. I'm no "cookie-cutter" dogsitter, but one who will adjust my visits to the individual preferences and needs of your dog, with a strong emphasis on making my visits a fun routine. I have a flexible travel radius and am willing to adjust rates for repeat customers. I will gladly socialize puppies, give baths, take applicable dogs to the dog park, hand-feed your picky eater - whatever it takes!

Emily sat with our 16 year old Jack Russell, Edie, while we were attending U.K. commencement festivities for our daughter. Because Edie is deaf and doesn’t see well, we were extremely worried about boarding her. Emily graciously agreed to watch Edie in our hotel room while we were attending all the festivities. This was such a blessing as we could enjoy our daughter’s special day without worrying about Edie in some unfamiliar kennel. Emily is extremely knowledgeable about animals and has a natural instinct on how to make them feel safe and secure. She even taught us a few tricks! She is kind, patient and put us completely at ease. She also kept us informed with text messages and pictures throughout the day. Thank you, Emily! We would highly recommend her to anyone and so would Edie!
Our stay with Emily was great! She responded to our last minute request to watch our dogs quickly and her communication throughout the trip was perfect--we even got pictures of how our babies were doing the whole time. When we picked up the dogs they were excited to see us but didn't seem anxious or upset like we have experienced with some past boarding experiences we have had. We will definitely work with Emily again and recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter!
Emily is great with dogs! Mine is quite shy but she really had a way with him. I have known her for two years and she is reliable, friendly and dependable. I highly recommend!!

I insist on visiting an animal before sitting, as this helps make the transition to m company less stressful. It doesn't need to be a long visit, but your dog will feel safer and you can make sure I know every detail about them. I have more experience with small breeds, but larger dogs do not intimidate me at all.
A typical day
I am happy to take dogs around the neighborhood, to parks, the local dog park, downtown for socialization (with secure harnessing,) or to Starbucks for a Puppachino on a hot day!
