I have had a dog for more than seven years. I enjoy playing tug of war and fetch with dogs. I am not a trainer but I do enjoy teaching dogs simple commands and tricks. I am pretty easy going so I am patient to most dog personalities. My house is a ranch style so its good for older dogs or dogs with any disabilities. My house is located on a quiet road but near the airport so you can hear some planes fly by. My yard is open therefore I would feel more comfortable keeping the dog on a leash, unless the dog is trained to stay in the yard. I live with my boyfriend and he enjoys dogs as well so he is comfortable with all dogs as well.
