Hello! I currently work from home as a freelance editor while between full-time jobs. I have a 7-yr-old dog at home who we think is a pit/boxer mix. His favorite thing in the world is to go on walks and pee on EVERY tree available. Over the years I have helped out with various friends' and family members' pets, ranging from cockapoo to labradoodle to German Sheperd. I can handle young and old, high-maintenance as much as low-maintenance. For example, I once cared for a 14-year-old blind and diabetic dog for a week. His condition required insulin shots with each meal and pee-absorbing mats to be replaced each night on the staircase for overnight emergency relief. The German Sheperd I looked after had been recently adopted from a shelter at age 2 and was not yet fully socialized, so caring for him involved some additional training commands and conditioning on top of his regular play/exercise and feeding. I also followed special feeding instructions because his owner was trying to determine a possible food allergy. All in all, I love dogs (cats are fine too) and am responsible and empathetic.
