Pet care experience
We have always had cats and dogs in my family. I had 2 large labradoodles until 2019 when they passed at age 13 only a few months apart. I currently only have cats, and though we are not ready to get another dog yet, we would love the opportunity to spend some time with them! I work as a massage therapist so my schedule is whatever I choose it to be! This allows me to be as accommodating as necessary. My husband works a more typical 40 hr/week job, but we should be able to make most schedules work between us. We are not ready for another dog yet ourselves, so this seems like a wonderful way to get some of that dog craving filled! We have a fenced in backyard on 1 acre of land in a neighborhood that is not a through street, so very little traffic. Our cats are all fixed/vaccinated and indoor cats only.

Emily and Andrew were communicative and responsive. They generously shifted around their schedules and made it work to accommodate us when we had to go out of town somewhat last minute. Thank you, both!
Emily was patient and understanding with our skittish and shy dog. She even was able to come meet him prior to the dog sitting session to give him a chance to meet. She was really communicative on how the visit was going. She was easy going and friendly and I hope to use her again!

We have a fenced in backyard and a very quiet neighborhood. We have some old dog gates that are mostly just for show these days but can certainly act as a barrier for dogs who find them intimidating. We have carpeted stairs to the second floor and all hard flooring on the first floor.

Information Emily & Andrew B. would like to know about your pet
We would be unable to accept dogs that are particularly aggressive towards cats. Most of our cats will probably hide from any dog in the house but it is still something we would prefer not to risk. I am often around horses, so please let me know if you would prefer your dog to not accompany me around the horses.
A typical day
Our backyard is perfect for games of catch and at night we leave the sliding glass door open so all our animals can watch the wild critters through the screen. We live in a neighborhood with no outside traffic so walks are safe and calm. We also live near many trails that I would be thrilled to have an excuse to go for walks on. I work in Adrian so i would also love to take your dog to the beautiful parks and trails in Adrian as well. Also a big fan of snuggling on the couch and in bed!

Availability
I work as a massage therapist so my schedule is flexible. My husband works a more typical 40 hr/wk job but not normal hours, so between us, we can make most things work. We love just hanging out with our cats when we're home and miss spending time with dogs.
