When you're looking for a dog walker or someone to care for your pets while you are away; I know it is important to find someone who is responsible, reliable and experienced. I know this because I am a dog owner and I am very careful about who takes care of her when I cannot be there. If you hire me to work for you and your pet(s), I will not let you down. I am the responsible, reliable, experienced caretaker you are looking for! Dog walking: Do you have a high energy pup? Does your dog like to sniff more than they like to walk? Does your dog enjoy being outside, but doesn't require super long distances? Don't worry! I will adjust my walks for your dog's needs. My dog usually requires around 4-5 miles a day, so I am used to going farther, but I will scale it back depending on who's on the leash! Dog sitting/boarding: Excited for your upcoming vacation, but worried about leaving your fur friend home alone? Have no fear - I am here to make sure that your dog is in great hands and you will be able to relax and enjoy your time away! I will keep you updated with messages and pictures. Your dog will miss you, but they'll be cared for, played with and treated like my own while you're away. I am available to stay with your dog(s) at your home or they are welcome to stay with me at mine. I have a doggy door and a fenced-in backyard! We have tons of toys and treats. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and bed; however, we do have an XL crate in case your dog needs their own space. Dog drop-ins: Long day away from home? You will have nothing to worry about - I will stop in, refresh water, give some scratches, play fetch and more when you cannot be there. Doggy Day-care: Working long days or later into the evening? Is your dog feeling lonely or are you feeling guilty? Bring your dog to my house! I am home throughout the day and night (graduate student)! We have a comfortable, cool home with dog-friendly furniture and toys. We, also, have a doggy door and a kiddie pool for those hot Southwestern days. Our yard is fenced and there is plenty of fresh drinking water. Your dog will be treated like mine - spoiled! We work on tricks (for treats) and we get lots of exercise. Last minute requests: Do you need to hop on the next flight, but you're worried about your dog? I don't blame you - this scenario can be stressful and overwhelming. If you hire me, you'll be rest assured that your dog(s) will be cared for, fed, walked, played with and cuddled. You'll get picture updates while you are away. I live and play in Albuquerque, NM. I have one dog named Zia - she is 3 years old and came to us VERY nervous. I have spent a lot of time gaining her trust and helping her become her best self. She is still awkward (but cute); however, she is way more sociable and friendly with new fur and human friends! I grew up in a dog-friendly household with my mom being a veterinarian (we have had a lot of different dogs) and I learned a lot about different breeds, characteristics and personalities during my childhood.
