Loving Sitter Available SF to Marin

Pet care experience

Although I currently cannot house pets in my home, I’m more than happy to stay with them at your house. I love animals and have always had pets. I’ve dog and cat-sat for family members, friends and neighbors for years and I’m still very happy to do so today. I've had many dogs come and stay with us, mostly dogs that we know but being at home helps me be very hands on with the pets and they always feel right at home. I am very outdoorsy and love to go on hikes which is great exercise for myself and for the dogs! About this sitter: Hello! I'm a total animal lover looking to care for your pooch or kitty. I am very active and love being outside, so hikes and long walks are on the menu when I dogsit. I'm happy to take your dog/s to the beach, on hikes and around your home for walks. I work for myself but I am a trained chef, which of course, means that I do not mind cooking for a dog with special dietary needs -- and mostly likely will make it very scrumptious! I know it's important to trust a person with your pet, our family dog was a member of the family and always will be. I am a very caring person and will spoil your dog/s as if they were my own. I am available for short-term or long-term dog-sitting from San Francisco to Marin. I have a car so if your dog is comfortable with that, I'm happy to drive him or her to a fun dog park or Crissy Field or his/her favorite spot! I look forward to hearing from you! Posted are some pictures of puppies I've cared for: * Alba lived in Corte Madera just near me and I've cared for her for years * Darwin is my best friend's Great Dane and we are best buds * Miss Puddy was our lunatic cat for 17 years and we miss her dearly * I have a family whose sweet Jezebelle I still care for in Mill Valley and have for years

Emelie took very good care of my animals and home. She was communicative and attentive. My cat requires extra love and attention right now (post surgery recovery) and Emelie made she my cat was medicated and loved. Highly recommend!

Emilie was thoughtful from the initial contact, taking her own time to come and meet Eddie before the stay. She was great with him while we were gone, taking him to parks and on walks and even visiting her own family. She took care of him like he was her own beloved pet. Emilie was very responsive to my texts while I was gone and shared photos and videos with me. We had Emilie stay at our home to care for Eddie and she also took good care of the house, including watering plants. Emilie is thoughtful, responsible, trustworthy - and great fun for your dog :)

Emilie is a fantastic caring person who made me feel at ease in leaving my precious pup in her care. She is kind, gentle, sweet ~ exactly what my dog needs (and what I want too!). She is communicative, punctual, and immaculate which is exactly what I need. She sent lots of photos so I could see them on walks and at play. When I returned, my dog was happy and healthy, and my place was in perfect shape. I hope she will always be available whenever I need to leave my pup behind. I highly recommend Emilie to anyone looking for a caring and responsible companion for their pets.

I will treat your pet as my own. If there is any medication or dietary restriction, I will set an alarm and respect it conscientiously. If your best is used to sleeping in your bed that is not an issue for me, I want them to feel at home and comfortable while you are away.

Information Emilie C. would like to know about your pet

What I like to know about a dog before sitting him or her is what their favorite toy or treat is. I like to make the dog comfortable and cozy while their owner is away so anything that will help him or her warm up to me. Then, anything dietary or medical he or she may have going on that the owner feels I need to know. I've worked with dogs from shelters before and I know they have different traumas; in that type of situation, I'd like to know what makes the dog uncomfortable (a certain place around the house, certain noises, how she or he reacts to being alone/around crowds) in order to prevent any acting out or just him or her being unhappy. No, I don't have any breed preferences. I tend to sit medium to bigger dogs just because I like to get out of the house and like to get some exercise in with the dog and bigger dogs push me out the door. But any type of dog is perfectly fine :) I love 'em all!

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog When I housesit, your dog will get at least two walks a day. I usually try to make a walk last anywhere from 30 min to two hours. I enjoy playing with dogs and seeing them have fun, so I try to do at least two trips to the dog-park per week, depending on where you live. I have a few friends with dogs in San Francisco so if your dog is social, we can organize play dates if they get along. Dogs need as much shared downtime as playtime so I like to sit and cuddle with the pups on the couch in the evening. If I'm working, I make sure I pop in and check on the dog during the day and spend a little time with him. Extra house-sitting services I'm happy to help out with anything extra you may need help with from watering plants to bringing in the mail to making a specific type of dog food from scratch.
