Hi there! My name is Emerson and I recently graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelors degree in zoology. I have a lot of animal care experience including personal, work, and past volunteering at SICSA. I love animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. I'd be happy to help you out with your pets! While my eventual goal is to do museum and collections work, one of my favorite areas of study is animal behavior. Animals don't communicate the same as humans do, so it's pretty neat to be able to understand them. If your dog does something weird maybe we can try to figure it out together (fun fact I learned while pet sitting: some dogs reverse sneeze!) If you're working on setting a schedule with your dog or training them please let me know and I'll do my absolute best to achieve those goals! I'm glad to take your dog on walks, watch them overnight, or just check in on them during the day to make sure everything's okay! I have experience in administering medications including oral tablets and insulin shots. I'm most familiar with dogs and cats, but if you need help with your ferret/hamster/hedgehog/reptile, I'm your guy! I am employed full time. Regarding Covid: I always wear a mask and regularly use hand sanitizer and wash my hands. I do live with an infant at home and am doing my best to protect his and my family's health so I am taking precautions. When doing drop ins or house sitting I am happy to follow your rules in your home, whatever you're comfortable with works for me.
