I grew up on a farm with horses, chickens, dogs, cats, goats, etc. I have a special place in my heart for strays and rescues! I have a golden retriever mix and three cats, all rescues. I work in the medical field and am very comfortable giving medications if needed. My dog has been through beginner and intermediate obedience training and it really boosted her confidence as she suffers from anxiety. It's really important to me that my fur-babies are well taken care of as I attend grad school and they enjoy laying on my books as I try to study!

I have a small patio area attached to my apartment that is fenced. There is no grass there unfortunately, just some concrete and Astroturf that is shaded through the entire day. Tons of my neighbors have cats and dogs so it's a dog friendly area. My dog is friendly with other dogs especially if they are 50lbs or smaller. My cats are very dog friendly too and usually just lay there if a dog comes over to sniff them.

Let me know if there are any special needs for your pet that I should be aware of. I'm very happy to send updates throughout the day and if you are worried about something in particular I am happy to provide detailed updates as you want them. Pets do need to be comfortable with cats. My cats are very comfortable with my dog but would not appreciate being chased by a dog who thinks they are chew toys.
A typical day
There is a dog park only a mile away and my dog and I love to walk there, play for an hour, and walk back. We are more than happy to bring your dog as well if that is something you would like!

I am a full-time grad student who is doing classes from home 90% of the time. This allows me to be very available and give your pets lots of supervision throughout the day.
