Caring for both dogs and cats: I am an experienced Cat Sitter of 20+ years and have gotten to know that, like humans, each individual cat has a different personality. You need to earn their trust and then gain their friendship. Although my specialty is cats, I absolutely love dogs of all breeds. I have been dog sitting for the past nine years and absolutely love it! Dogs are so loving. I do not have a dog in my home, which is why the dogs that I sit have become dear to my heart. Whether it’s stopping by a client’s home to spend time with their dog, staying overnight with the dog in his or her own home, or having the dog over as a guest in my home - every experience that I’ve had caring for a dog or puppy has been excellent. I will gladly House Sit for your cat(s), but due to the nature of cats being territorial, I will not bring another cat into my home for a visit. I feel that it will make the experience uncomfortable for your cat and they do not need the added stress while you are away. If your dog is the type that does not get along with another animal, then I would prefer to care for your dog within your own home. I have made my prices the same for both overnights at your home or mine for this reason. In addition, I will not conduct drop-ins on a puppy or kitten if you will be out of town for longer than 1 day. I will require for your pet to either come spend the night at my house or I can spend the night at yours. I feel that a pet that young should not be left alone for an extended amount of time. My main concern is the comfort of your pet. In addition to working with pets in homes, I have also volunteered at animal shelters in the past where I helped homeless cats and dogs by cleaning up after them and showing them lots of love until they were adopted by their forever families. I was also a foster parent to two large dogs that lived with me for two years before being adopted, so I have experience with dogs of all sizes. Once your dog or cat meets and forms a friendship with me, I will be thrilled to care for them. All of my existing clients are repeat customers whose pets I have looked after for many years. Their pets are used to me, which makes it easier for the pet to remain comfortable while their pet parent is away. I will ensure that their time with me will be as enjoyable and cozy as possible. They will be in good hands.
