Pet care experience
Hello! We are Em, Skye and Ori. Ori is a super friendly young lab-border collie mix who absolutely loves to play. We're on Rover because we know how happy dogs are when they're playing with each other, and we want to share Ori's amazing energy with as many dogs as possible, as well as give her some playmates too. We have also done extensive research into positive reinforcement training, and behavioural science, and have always been around dogs. We truly understand how nerve wracking it can be too leave your pup with a stranger (we feel the same way when we leave Ori!) but we want to assure you that they will be very safe, well cared for and loved with us. ❤️ And we will send lots of photos and videos for you.

Can’t thank Em, Skye and Ori enough for taking the best care of our puppy Esther for two weeks! It was the first time we left Esther and Em, Skye and Ori welcomed her into their family and gave her all the attention, cuddles, training and adventures we had hoped for. They have great access to green areas and a spacious home which was perfect for Esther and Ori for all their plays and escapades. Ori couldn’t be a sweeter girl and acted as a great role model! Communication before and during was great, we received updates regularly. Would love for every dog to spend time with Em, Skye and Ori! ❣️

Em is great with dogs! She clearly loves dogs and they are naturally drawn to her gentle demeanour, kindness and general exuberance. She’s a responsible person and I would feel confident trusting her with a furry loved one any day.

Our home is a safe environment with different rooms if the dogs need space. We do find Ori needs a break after awhile. She also seems to get overwhelmed with barking, so we would want to make sure your dog does not bark excessively. They will get leashed potty breaks and plenty of time to walk and play. We are happy to send photos and updates as much as you'd like! We do ask that your pup is ok to sleep outside of our room as well.

Please let us know what special needs your dog has. Especially if they have anxieties, what helps calm them down, and what special words you use for training. We do prefer that they are friendly with all dogs as well, since Ori is so social. We also ask that we do a meet and greet before the stay if it's overnight.
A typical day
In terms of activities, we would be happy to go on longer hikes, or something shorter if your dog prefers. Let us know what their energy level is and we can accommodate. Ori's favourite place is Mundy park because she gets to meet so many friends, but we'd be happy to go to a less busy area if your pup is shy. We often go to Eagle mountain or Pinecone Burke for off leash (or leashed if you prefer) walks. Other than walks we do find that dogs that have visited us have played most of the time, and have ended up all tuckered out by the end.

Availability
I work from home so I'm around all the time to care for your dog. I'm happy to take them for lunch time walks in addition to morning and evening if needed as well. We wake up early and bed time is usually around 10 pm.
