I have been taking care of dogs in my home since I was very young. I am experienced in working with all ages, breeds, and sizes of dogs. I worked at a pet lodge for over a year taking care of and providing exercise with fur babies who were boarded there so I am very familiar with handling different personalities of dogs. Plus I have been taking care of family friends, neighbors, and my own pets for years. I am a nursing student at BSU and have some extra time on my hands. Since I love dogs, it’s a great opportunity for me to help care for dogs! I usually take care of pets however the owners ask me to. I know pets get into their routines, so I try to stick with their usual routines so they don’t get too anxious on top of having their humans away. On top of that, I usually will walk dogs or play with them to get them stimulated, and I also can play with cats if applicable.

Elyssa O has been our dog, cat and house sitter for 3 years until she left for college at BSU. She always did a fantastic job. Elyssa watched our Coco & PT on numerous occasions when our family went out of town. Elyssa has always been fun, loving, and responsible that our pooches were happy when we dropped them off. Elyssa was attentive to my instructions of feeding PT’s medicines; take them on walks and if I wanted to see videos of them being silly, she would happily send them. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Elyssa. She is responsible and she is a dog lover through & through.

I usually stay in client’s homes as I am not allowed to have animals in the house I live in. I always keep the space cleaner than the owners left it if I can and I try to spend as much time with the animals as possible.

Usually ahead of time I like to know the routine of the pets and any special tips and tricks that can help me if they aren’t behaving. The more information the better! I like to hear about all the details of pets so that I can be prepared to take care of them as best I can!
A typical day
With dogs I will stick to their schedule as much as I can and try to emulate their normal routine. I will walk them or let them out however the owners prefer!

I’m currently working as a nursing assistant so I have certain days per week where I work 12 hour shifts. I try to keep my calendar updated and I self-schedule so if a booking is far enough in advance I can work around it.
