Pet care experience
I’ve been dog walking and dogsitting since 2016, from Tacoma, WA, to the suburbs around Minneapolis, MN. I have experience with shiba inus, pitbulls, beagles, mastiffs, and small mixed breeds. The age ranges of the dogs I’ve cared for have varied between 6 months (a Brazilian mastiff named Lucy who refused to walk upstairs at night) and 13 years (an older mastiff named Rex who loves peanut butter). I’ve also cared for cats along with having one of my own. I can walk, run, or just hang out with your dogs! I’m used to giving medication to dogs who need it, examples being joint pain for elderly dogs and probiotics for dogs who ate something they shouldn’t have. I have cared for dogs on raw diets who needed raw meat twice a day, and dogs who ate holistic meals supplemented with pumpkin or rice. I’ll always keep in touch with you via the Rover app, and will send photo assurances that your dogs are happy and well cared for. Recurring clients can check in with me regarding services when I’m set to “Away”. I’ve raised my service prices for 2024 to reflect my gain in experience over the last several years, as well as to offset gas while driving to and from households.

I do not take pets into my home, but at the client’s home I abide by the client rules. I do not walk dogs off leash and prefer not to take dogs to off leash dog parks, or interact with other dogs outside of the household to ensure no accidents can happen. This can change with recurring clients as the dogs and I become more familiar with each other.

When I come to walk or sit your dog, I love to know the little tricks you use to get their attention. If there are certain command words or signals, that knowledge helps immensely. Any sort of anxiety triggers need to be mentioned for the safety of myself and your dog.
A typical day
If your dog has a preferred walk/run route, great! If your pup is more adventurous, I’m always happy to scope out new, safe routes to keep their interests up and their energy mellowed.

Availability
I work outside of Rover and don’t keep traditional hours, so my weekly availability will fluctuate. I usually have my calendar several months in advance but occasionally I will be needed at short notice. My current availability is between 2pm and 5pm, and I’m able to do 30min walks after 9pm on some evenings. It never hurts to ask if I’m available at other times, I’m always happy to make my schedule work with yours!
