We left our puppy with Elugia for 11 days and overall we are disappointed. We did not receive any updates or pictures and her communication was very poor. When we asked Elugia how things were going, she simply said, “He’s good,” with no further detail. The only times she reached out was to later complain that our puppy had an accident and was chewing on furniture. This shows that Elugia did not bother to read instructions to keep our puppy off of furniture. Elugia even admitted that she liked sleeping with dogs on her bed. We believe our puppy may have been left alone and neglected for extended periods of time if he was able to chew on furniture. Elugia was not prepared for the level of attention required to watch a puppy. When we picked up our puppy, he was missing his harness, which Elugia let us know had been chewed up. His dog bed was covered on both sides with pee stains and soaked through. Both had to be replaced. When we arrived home, our puppy drank two bowls of water and devoured an entire bowl of food like he was dehydrated and starving. This concerned us, so I counted how many scoops of food it took to refill his food bin, which was full when we dropped him off. There should have been 33 scoops because we instructed 3 scoops a day. However, it only took 24 scoops to fill up his bin, which suggests he was underfed. Also, his food scooper was chewed up and the bin was damaged. This shows lack of care and adherence to our instructions. We believe Elugia is unfit to watch puppies and don’t recommend her to anyone.

Elugia really took good care of our dog Coco. She kept us updated and was very flexible and understanding.
