In the past 23 years, I have always had a dog in my life. From big to small, from active to shy, I have learned how to interact with all kinds of dogs. As I began work as a young teenager, my first job was at the Chatham Beach Dog, a store providing treats and gear for dogs. I was able to bring my dog, Pippa (a wheaten terrier), into the shop with me. She greeted other dogs that came into the shop and I was fully responsible for her during those hours. I worked there for three summers and learned the tips and tricks of being a dog owner, from what treatment is best for fleas to what collar fits (and looks) best. Because of this experience, my family calls for me with any questions with our dog.
