I’m knowledgeable in breed-specific needs and maintain consistency to keep them mentally and physically happy! I have previously taken dog behavior courses and am familiar with dog body language. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages! No dog is “too much!” I am comfortable with administering medications and providing grooming for long haired/high maintenance breeds. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs so I am comfortable handling all ages.

Ellen has taken care of my 3 dogs and cat on several occasions and she’s just AMAZING! My husky, Husky/St.Bernard Mix and Chihuahua just love her energy. There is something about her that animals just love. All of the keys get excited when we go on vacation because they know Ellen is coming for a sleepover 😆 I highly recommend Ellen to anyone who wants someone who will take excellent care of their pets. I will keep using Ellen again and again.

I am comfortable crating your pet if requested but they are also more than welcome to share a bed with me if they are used to sleeping with you! If you have an unfenced yard, I will keep them on leash at all times. If you have a fenced yard, I will stay out and monitor them until they are ready to come inside. Doors will be locked at all times whether I am in the home with your pet or if I’m at work. If you have any home-alarm systems, I will use them as well.

A small note of their general routine is extremely helpful! Knowing what time they typically like to potty, eat and go to bed is great to keep their schedule maintained. If there are any medical needs, never hesitate to let me know! When I’m with your animals, they are treated like my own with love and care. I am happy to accommodate their needs.
A typical day
When I’m with the dogs I am watching, I enjoy keeping them mentally stimulated with games or fun activities like snuffle mats or lick mats or whatever toys you have on hand. I enjoy reinforcing their training by quick little lessons. For walks, if your pup has a favorite spot, I will gladly take them there! If not, we can walk and people watch on campus or head to a local park. With permission, we may even stop for a pup cup from Starbucks!

I have a full-time job but am more than happy to fit time in to take care of your lovely fur baby. I will work with you to decide if I am the right fit for your pet’s needs and routine. Nothing is worse than upsetting your pet’s routine and comfortability!
