Ellen was amazing with my lil pup! She treated him like her own and he got all the cuddles and walks he wanted while i was away. I highly recommend her!

Ellen was great! We have a grouchy senior dog & the other dog with back injuries....difficult to find quality people to watch them.....they came home happy & relaxed! Daily updates left us relieved to enjoy our short getaway ❤️

Ellen was wonderful with our Buddy. So happy to have found her. She's very caring and perceptive with dogs and she kept us updated with lots of great photos. Her two dogs are cuties as well and seem to love having guests.

I have an individualized approach to doggie care. Every pooch is different and I adapt to their personal needs. If your dog likes to cuddle he/she can sleep right next to me....some dogs prefer their independence and a few who've had rough histories don't like to be touched. I've cared for dogs with special needs: fragile seniors, deaf and/or blind dogs, and dogs with hip and walking issues ...

What Ellen would like to know about your dog

It's important to know of the dog's habits and fears (if any), as well as eating patterns, attitudes toward other dogs, any food aggression or leash aggression issues. It's crucial to know if your pooch has any special needs.....physically or behaviorally. I always feed my guests separately to avoid any food issues. Also I would need to know if the dog can manage being left alone for short periods and how he/she can manage in the car.

Due to extra effort/work for larger dogs, my rates increase to $60 for puppies and dogs 40 lbs. +

When Ellen watches your pet

I am lucky to live in a woodsy neighborhood with very little traffic. There is also a fenced dog park nearby (close to the Randall Museum) and another even larger dog park on 27th at Douglass. In addition, I normally take everyone with me when I'm running errands and we go on urban hikes as well.

We play catch and retrieve in the backyard and up and down the steps. If your pooch has hip problems or is unsafe on stairs for any reason, I can block the staircases.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Many of the dogs' beds are in my bedroom where most of them choose to sleep.. There are also dog beds throughout the house. They can sleep wherever they like. Small dogs have bed privileges unless the owners veto that!

Time I'll spend with your dog
Since I am retired I am with the dogs just about 24/7. When I leave the house I take them with me whenever possible.
