Ellen was extremely sensitive and loving towards my dog. She took time in advance to learn about her so that she was ready to meet her needs and help her stay be as comfortable and fun as possible. It is clear Ellen loves dogs and sees the specialness of each dog she cares for.
Bella's stay was cut short because we returned from our vacation early but she was well cared for although happy to see us not overly anxious to leave Ellen. We feel very good about having someone like Ellen care for our precious furry family member.
We’ve since moved out of state, but we miss Ellen every time we need a petsitter. She was truly the best! She loved our pup as her own- was flexible, caring, knows shy/fearful dogs well, and most importantly, our dog was comfortable and happy staying with her.
Dog lovers will love yours as ours!
We are avid dog lovers and I am a member of several rescue organizations in NE and NY. I currently have 3 rescued small dogs, 2 of which were badly treated as breeder females in a puppy mill in upstate New York. My friends saved them from a bullet to the head and brought them to me to love them back to life. We adore being surrounded by wet noses and slurpy kisses.
I will ...
What Ellen would like to know about your dog
- Is the dog neutered
- Sex and age
- Any history of biting
- Any fears such as thunder, loud noises, door bells, etc.
- Ability to get along with other dogs and new people
- Up to date vaccinations and no fleas or ticks
None of these things exempt your pup from being a guest in our home. I just need to know how best to take care of them with the exception of biting (not puppy or playing nipping... that's just fine) and a recent and/or current flea/tic infestation. Your dog would have to be treated and clean before his/her visit in order to keep my pups safe and not to infect other visitors from getting them from our home. Please be honest. I can help you to find experts that can help with these issues and to help your dog to feel better and be happier.
