Pet care experience
I am a friendly, responsible animal lover and a recent NYU graduate. I grew up with two chihuahuas (one of whom was blind and both of whom had some behavioral issues) and cared for them from the time they were puppies all the way through their old age. In addition to caring for my own pups, I have experience walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. I have fostered many kittens in my home, and I have been volunteering with cats and dogs at my local animal shelter for several years. I am happy to do whatever your dog needs from me, whether that’s going for a jog, playing fetch, petting and cuddling, or even letting them lick my face if that’s what they enjoy! I love dogs and I look forward to meeting yours. *very flexible schedule and fully vaccinated!*

Ellen was great! She looked after our four pets (2 little dogs and 2 cats) and our home while we were away and we came back to happy pets and a clean home. Couldn’t ask for more. We have a senior cat with some mild special needs and she wasn’t at all phased by it. She was super responsive and was able to help us out even on pretty late notice. Highly recommend. She’s also just super friendly!
We had a very last minute house sitting request, and Ellen was kind enough to stop by on short notice for a meet and greet with our dog, Zoe. Zoe is skittish and shy, and Ellen was very patient with her. Ellen stayed with Zoe at our place for three nights/four days; by day three, Zoe was going up to Ellen on her own and sitting with her, which was sweet to see. Ellen was flexible and punctual, which was much appreciated because we had an early morning flight on the day of departure, and needed her to stay till late the day we were coming back. Our place was also tidy when we got back. Thank you, Ellen, for watching our fur-baby.
I highly recommend Ellen to care for your pet. Ellen has cared for dogs most of her life. She is respsponsible and kind. Ellen is able to interact with all breeds and sizes of dogs and often shows the dogs she interacts with affection.

A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs both mentally and physically. I’ll take them to a park, give them lots of interesting things to smell, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention before bringing them home.

Availability
My work schedule varies week-to-week but my shifts are not very long and I rarely need to be away for more than 6 hours at a time. If you give me enough warning I can usually rearrange my work schedule to fit your needs!
