Pet care experience
Since I was a kid, I've loved spending time with animals. As I got older, I took on responsibilities with the family dog, including cleaning her teeth and clipping her nails- not easy for a 12 year old with a dog that HATES having her nails clipped. I've house-sat for many friends, taking care of everything from chill, mature dogs to hyper puppies (and cats, horses, and reptiles), and always enjoyed it!

Ellen was able to be flexible with the dates we were asking her to stay, that was huge. It was a comfort knowing Ellen was house sitting our 3 fur babies. We could tell they were very well cared for. Ellen is the most thoughtful, caring and conscientious young woman I know. If she gets to care for your pooch, your dog will immediately gain a fun and responsible friend he or she will want to be with as much as possible. You’ll be confident, I assure you, that “all is well” in your absence.
Ellen was great when she dog and cat sat for us! Not only is she great with animals, she is also a truly compassionate and ultra responsible human being. Ellen was very good communicating with us that the pets were all doing well, which was important to me. We had two cats and two dogs that she pet sat, and she watered our garden, and overall kept an eye on our house. When we got home, the dogs were so relaxed and happy, I knew that she had done a great job. Ellen is quite knowledgable about animals and is very outdoorsy, so she loves to take the dogs for long walks. She is also an outstanding gardener, having taken care of the Urban Farm for the college that she attended. I don't think you could find a more reliable and caring dog sitter.
I have known Ellen for years. She has away been particularly fond of animals and a kind, exceptionally responsible and insightful young person. For that reason, she has watched our home and our dogs (one who is uniquely ornary) and always done a great job. The house is better than we left it and the dogs are healthy and happy when we return from vacation. I trust Ellen to do a great job and highly recommend her!

I love planning what to do with dogs ahead of time, so if you can let me know your dog's activity level and what they like to do, that would be great! I also like to know if your dog does well around other dogs, and if they have problems with any particular kind of people (for example, my dog loves children, but she's very hyper, so she can overwhelm them easily!)
A typical day
I love hiking and exploring wild areas, so we'll definitely be checking out all the cool sights and smells of Colorado.
