Pet care experience
My name is Elle, I am a current second year student at Cornell Vet School. I recently lost my beloved furbaby and would like to spend time helping others care for their pets. I have a very strong interest in shelter medicine, fostering over 50 dogs and cats before starting vet school. I have worked with everything from puppies to senior dogs, to dogs with behavioral issues. I also work with the behavior service at Cornell and am working on becoming a certified behavior consultant. So, I can also help with any behavior modifications via positive reinforcement. While living in NYC and working with rescues there, I started an organization that trained runners to run adoptable dogs to and from adoption events, so I love running with dogs and have lots of experience. I also recently adopted a senior kitty from the TCSPCA named Cersei.

Communicates promptly!!
Elle took care of our puppy Kenyon over a long weekend. She really loves dogs and has immense expertise into their behavior. Kenyon loved her time with Elle, and we will definitely use her services again!
Over the last few years, Elle has watched both my dogs several times. She also was great with my cats! One of them has severe behavioral issues and she handles them very well - he is typically very fearful when he first meets people, but Elle took the time to work with him and he absolutely loves her now! I trust her to work with him in a lot of situations where I would not trust others, since he is so fearful. My other dog has a ton of medical problems and receives numerous medications - this requires a ton of work. Elle is always great with him, and I absolutely trust that everything will be taken care of when I am away from him. I highly recommend Elle. She has a ton of experience, and is incredibly trustworthy and professional, capable of handling dogs with both behavior and medical issues!

A typical day
I love running or walking/hiking with dogs and taking them to six mile creek winery. Anything that the dog would enjoy and feel comfortable doing, I love finding new dog friendly places. However, I also enjoy a good snuggle on the couch or bed with my dog. Dogs are allowed on all the furniture in my house, however, if you would like to discourage this behavior I can work around that and even use my behavior expertise to help train your dog against these behaviors in a fun and positive way.
