Pet care experience
I have owned cats, dogs, rats, guinea pigs, reptiles, and rabbits, and I have experience caring for even more exotic animals. I am working on my pre-veterinary courses to apply to veterinary school, and in that quest, I have approximately 1400 hours working with local veterinarians and animal care specialists. I have been employed at a veterinary clinic as a kennel technician where I cared for their boarded pets (mainly cats and dogs) by walking, feeding, and medicating them. I did this until I started college, where I am now a Fear Free certified veterinary assistant. For 6 years I volunteered at a local animal care facility working with a variety of animals like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, sugar gliders, snakes, lizards, birds, and many others! I am comfortable taking care of any species. At this facility, I prepared diets, assisted with training animals, clean cages, and gave animals enrichment through toys, walks, or socialization.

Ella was amazing!! Both of my dogs and my cat warmed up to her very quickly!!! She even got them these amazing sweet potato dog treats and they can't get enough of them.
Ella is an animal whisperer. As Ella’s next door neighbor, our family knew that vacation was no problem because Ella would be come over to care for our beloved pets while we were gone. It seemed to us that our pets preferred her to us! I would happily entrust them to Ella, knowing that she would treat them as her own. She is very responsible and caring.
Ella is amazing with animals! My dog loved her and she was even able to trim her nails for me! My dog felt very comfortable with her! Thank you Ella!! I definitely recommend her and will have her watch my dog in the future!!

Availability
I am currently a college student taking online classes, and I only work part-time as a veterinary assistant which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. Mornings and evenings are very open for me. I am sure we will be able to work together to come up with a schedule that will work for us both.
