Pet care experience

Hi there, I'm Elizabeth, your next go-to pet sitter. I'm passionate, experienced and fun. My dog Eleanor and I are so excited to meet you both! When your dog stays with us you get the best of both worlds. I have been working in the pet industry since I was 14. I started out as an assistant in a veterinary clinic for 5 years and worked as a dog walker for 8 years before I became a pastry chef/cake decorator. Even when I was a pastry chef, I still stayed in the business as a professional dog sitter/ house sitter. Taking care of animals is one of my biggest passions. When you leave your pets with me you can be confident that I have your animal's best interests in mind. When you come home your dog will be so happy, it's like they had a vacation with their best bud. I love making sure that pets in my care are happy and healthy. Is your dog particularly photogenic or adorable? I'm happy to send you photos so that you can see how much fun we're having. I live with my 5 year old Mastiff mix, Eleanor. She is a goofy girl, she loves both napping and having fun. She's incredibly friendly and can't wait to make friends. Your dog will be in expert hands when they're with me. I've taken care of all types of dogs big and small; old and young, you name it, I've done it. You can trust me with your dog's medicine and well being--and have peace of mind that I can handle any situation with confidence. I also like to run a doggy paradise where the dogs can be themselves and relax. I encourage playtime and love long walks--the longer the better. I love to bake dog treats for my four legged friends and I just love snuggles. Your dog will truly love staying with me as it will be their home away from home!

Our dogs seemed to have a great time with Elizabeth and they were clearly well cared for and spoiled.

Elizabeth was great with Tyke. She has a Mastiff as well so she was prefect to watch my large dog, also a Mastiff. Her dog is super friendly and I was glad to leave Tyke there. Will definitely use her again in the future.

Elizabeth was awesome with our dogs Trey and Millhouse. It's always a little nerve-wrecking leaving your pet with a new sitter from the first time, but this was not the case at all. As soon as we met her and her dog Eleanor, we knew our dogs would be in good hands. She was very responsive to our texts which was important because we have limited connectivity on our vacation. We are looking forward to using Elizabeth again in the future. Thanks!

Great experience boarding my dog Guthrie with Elizabeth and her dog Eleanor. We met up beforehand and the dogs got along great. Communication was easy and coordinating pick up and drop off were very smooth. Would happily board with Elizabeth again.

Information Elizabeth Y. would like to know about your pet

I love all breeds and prefer big dogs. Please let me know of anything you think is useful about your dog. Every dog is unique and the more I know about their individual personalities and routines the better. My dog Eleanor is a 95 lb. lap dog but she mostly keeps to herself ( I describe her as a furry people person).

A typical day

I am lucky to live 1 block from the 606 trail which makes for a great long walk. Eleanor, and I prefer to wake a walk though Palmer Square up to Logan Square as we like to look at all the beautiful mansions in the neighborhood and she loves to meet all the people along the way. We also live 3.5 blocks north of Humboldt Park and like to take a nice stroll through there on beautiful days to smell the flowers and see the ducks :) And on truly nice weekend days with your permission of course we might take a drive to the Montrose Dog Beach or up to the Lake Forest Prairie Wolf Dog Preserve. Eleanor and I love a little adventure as much as we love snuggling and watching a movie.
