There’s just nothing like the love and care a pup brings to our lives! I’ve spent so much of my life working with them, so I know just how important they are to our lives. Dogs are always filled with happiness and wonder, I try to be like them all the time! I’ve always tried to give back to pups however I can in my life, so getting to be a dog sitter really is a dream come true for me. I love to meet new pups, and it’s great to give back to the community as well! I just can’t wait to put a smile on your pooch’s face! Although I’ve been a longtime dog owner, my experience doesn’t even there. In addition to taking care of my own dogs as a kid, I also pet sat for plenty of friends and neighbors. They were always comfortable leaving me in charge with the care of their pups, and I loved every minute of it! That inspired me to work with dogs in a more serious capacity, so I volunteered at local animal shelters as a teenager. From then, I’ve worked at dog kennels and pet hotels from the age of 19 and have really enjoyed the experience that it’s given me. I am familiar with pups of all stripes and know how to trim nails and give baths! Currently I have a Beagle, who’s just the sweetest dog in the whole world. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. Getting to take your pup under my care is a special responsibility, so I always make their health and happiness my number one priority. I like to do that by knowing their schedules inside and out! Dogs are creatures of habit, so making sure they do what they’re used to at home is key to preventing them from feeling anxious or upset. Once they’re covered in that respect, I always spoil them with tons of love! Additionally, making sure owners are always in the loop is just as important. I’m always prompt with my communication and am happy to send regular updates with accompanying pictures so you can see just how much fun we’re having together!
