Pets leave paw prints on my heart!

Pet care experience

Bio: I grew up in a rural area around all sorts of animals including dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, and horses. Whatever pet you have, I can take care of your house-sitting needs! I've had lots of experiences with both my pets and those of neighbors, friends, and family over the years in providing loving care. My favorite pets have always been the big slobbery kind, so I'm not afraid of a mess or two! I've also worked at a veterinary hospital with everything from Chihuahuas to Newfoundlands as a kennel and veterinary assistant. I've walked dogs with fear issues and pet aggression safely and securely. I've cared for dogs and cats that were blind, deaf, exceptionally old or frail, and required medications. If your pet has certain medical needs such as blood glucose readings, injectables, and subcutaneous fluids I can do that as well. I've prepared every kind of pet meal you can think of, so be rest assured that I'll meet whatever specifications you leave with me. Most of all, I have a deep love of animals that goes back to growing up with them nearly my whole life. Your pet may not be mine, but I'll treat it as well as I would any of my own.

Elizabeth took care of our two kitties one more time. As always she is very responsive, send us photos and updates. We feel completely confident that our kitties are in good hands. Thank you Elizabeth!

Elizabeth was awesome! She spent the weekend hanging out with our Newfie and he had a blast. She sent lots of pictures and updates. We’re definitely hoping to book with her in the future!

I do not offer boarding in my home. In your home, whatever instructions you leave for your pet I'll follow. I'm willing to water the plants or take garbage to curb, bring in packages while watching your pet as well, no worries.

Information Elizabeth W. would like to know about your pet

I find that I love the dog more for who it is as an individual, regardless of breed. If I had to pick a preference though, big, slobbery, furry dogs have always been my favorites, so any large or extra-large breed is a bonus.

A typical day

I tend to cater the needs of the dog for the activities we do. A dog that loves to explore and go places will definitely get a nice walk, whereas dogs who are older and slowing down may get more petting time and a shorter walk. A game I play with blind dogs is hiding bits of treats for them to find, so really, whatever suits the dog and keeps it happy and safe.

Availability

*Current Availability 1/3/2022* I'm currently a full-time student so will spend most of the day home with your pet. I am flexible on meeting times during the day. For downtown residents, drop-ins I'll usually do in the early morning as it's easier to get parking. For downtown overnight petsitting, parking spot availability is a must for me as I need to get to work and drop-ins in a timely manner and buses just don't cut it with all the directions I go in. If all that sounds fine to you, feel free to shoot me a message :)
